Solid Lubricated Bearings
SKF Solid Oil bearings are designed for applications where high humidity levels and accidental contact with water and other contaminants are significant issues. Bearings with Solid Oil are lubricated for their entire lifespan and cannot be re-lubricated.
Solid Oil:
- It is a polymer material saturated with oil that creates very narrow gaps within the bearing, allowing for smooth rotation.
- It has a porous structure made up of micro-pores that holds oil due to surface tension.
- It nearly fills all the gaps in the bearing.
- During operation, it releases oil into the narrow gaps, providing effective minimum lubrication.
