Sleeve Bushings
Sleeve bushings can be used to mount tapered hole bearings onto the cylindrical housing of stepped shafts. The bushing is pressed into the hole of the bearing inner ring, which is supported by a shaft shoulder or a similar fixed component. The bushing is positioned on the shaft using a nut or an end plate. KM or HM locking nuts (locking nuts that require a keyway) with suitable locking arrangements are appropriate. Locking nuts are not supplied with the bushing and must be ordered separately. End plates are not produced by SKF.
