Spherical Roller Bearings
SKF cylindrical roller bearings are available in a wide variety of designs, series, variants, and sizes. The main design differences include the number of roller rows and the presence of flanges on the inner and outer rings, as well as the cage designs and materials.
The bearings can address the challenges of applications subjected to heavy radial loads and high speeds. By accommodating axial displacement (except for bearings with flanges on both inner and outer rings), they offer high stiffness, low friction, and long service life.
Sealed or split designs of cylindrical roller bearings are also available. In sealed bearings, the rollers are protected from contaminants, water, and dust while ensuring lubricant retention and exclusion of contaminants. This results in lower friction and longer service life. Split bearings are primarily designed for hard-to-reach bearing arrangements, such as crankshafts, and facilitate maintenance and replacement operations.
